Walk a Mile: Help a Child
Hand In Hand USA Atlanta Chapter encourages everyone to participate in their annual Walkathon event: “Walk A Mile – Help A Child”. For details regarding this event, please check out the event flyer here.
This is the time to give back to the community. We want your support in making the annual Atlanta walkathon a success. The funds raised will help to change the lives of needy people. We are conducting this fun-filled walkathon on the beautiful trails of Chattahoochee Pointe Park. Request all of you and your family & friends to come for this event and support the great cause.
To donate towards this cause, you can either donate online, using the donation link provided below, or text ONE DROP to 44321 to donate using a credit card.
Schedule
- 7:30 am – 8:00 am: Registration
- 8:15 am – 9:15 am: Walk
- 9:15 am – 9:45 am: Refreshments and recognitions
Atlanta Goal: Raise funds to purchase Computers and Interactive Class Boards
” Unlock potential and Empower future: Donate now to provide computers for underprivileged children. Every contribution counts in building brighter futures. They deserve a chance too.”
Both of these are going to be used to teach students remotely. They are needed so that professors from different Universities/ IITs can interact and teach our students on-line. As Balashram is located in a remote location we are not able to get well qualified professors or teachers. Having the ability to do it remotely gives our students some of the same opportunities as those students in the cities.
